At its core, the Responses API serves as a unified interface that combines the simplicity of Chat Completions with the functionality of the Assistants API. This integration offers native tool chaining with automatic state management, real-time streaming for interactive experiences, and support for GPT-4o search models, which achieve approximately 90% factual accuracy.
