Today marks the beginning of our most ambitious series yet, which will explore cutting-edge areas of foundation models. The world of foundation models and large language models (LLMs) is experiencing tremendous innovation, with traditional transformer architectures being expanded upon with several ideas to power models such as ChatGPT and other alternatives. Furthermore, numerous new ideas on the horizon have the potential to shape the next generation of foundation models. Consequently, we have decided to dedicate an entire new series to explore these new methods that power the next generation of foundation models as well as exciting areas of research.
